This one is a little harder to spot than some of the others I’ve seen. It looks as though it might have actually come from the United States Postal Service (USPS). If you look at the link, you’ll see that it clearly has the name USPS in it. It’s important to remember that scammers can create links that appear to be legit. The link can contain any words or names they want and still go to a different location when clicked. NEVER click on links in text messages, even if they come from a business or person you know and trust. Instead, look up the business online. You can log-in to your account on their official website or call them directly if you’re worried about the status of a package. If the business calls you after you receive this or other text messages, do not automatically believe it is really them. Instead, let them know you will call them right back, then look-up the phone number online. Most scammers will start to panic and try to scare you when you attempt to get off the phone. Real businesses understand why you’re doing it.
